Kannada television and film actress Sri Gowri, aka Shabana, was found dead in her paying guest accommodation in Gayathrinagar in Subramanyapura police station limits on Saturday night. Police are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine whether the 26-year-old committed suicide or was murdered. Sri Gowri had been a part of several serials, but shot to fame in 2010 when she started playing the female lead in Parvathi Parameshwara. She quit the serial mid-way and tried to make a mark in the film industry. She bagged bit roles in some films, including Panchamrutha and Vinayaka Gelayara Balaga, which released a few months ago.
